The Plainview Arts Council will be hosting a performance by “The String Beans” – a musical group with family-friendly songs for all ages – on Thursday, April 7 in the Plainview High School Auditorium.
The performance will begin at 2 p.m., and the event is free and open to the public.
The String Beans provide music of pop, country, rap and rock’n’roll for a wide variety of audiences with a wide variety of family-friendly songs about “all the things kids love” – animals, cartoons, food, science, sports and more.
From the band’s information “Each show is hilarious, inclusive and spontaneous, and each catchy tune is designed to get every audience dancing and singing along.”
The event will be sponsored by the Plainview Arts Council with support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
The school will be conducting a safety drill on March 30th at the end of the school day (and more specific instruction will also be provided to students on the day of the test). Elementary students will all need to be picked up by their parent/guardian or another designated adult at their evacuation site between the hours of 3:15 and 3:45. Highschool students will head west to Locust and drive up to City Office bldg. where spotters will then call for your kids and get them out to you as quickly as possible and then continue West on Locust St. or head North on King St. toward Hwy. 20. For more information, pick up your copy of the Plainview News, or sign up for our e-edition!
