The Crofton-Bloomfield Lady Warrior-Bees finished the first Round at the State Wrestling tournament with three wins and one loss.
All the girls are still in the tournament, either wrestling yet tonight in the Quarterfinals, or tomorrow in the Consolation rounds.
Still in the Champ rounds:
125: Madisen Petersen pinned Blume of Valentine
145: Rylie Arens won with a forfeit from Crete
170: Annabelle Poppe won 3-1 over Jakubowski of O'Neill
At 155 Jaisie Janssen remains in the tournament, though she fell to Parker of Bellevue.

After Round 1 for the Class C Crofton Warrior-Bees boys' team - four have moved into the Quarterfinals with a second match tonight, and five will wrestle tomorrow in the Consolation rounds.

160: Wyatt Tramp - won 6-2 over Pistulka of West Holt
195: Tyson Sanger won 4-3 over Zlomke of Battle Creek
220: Ty Tramp won 11-2 over Anderson of Amherst

285: Paxton Bartels, lost by pin to Hinrichs of Fillmore Central
182: Casey Jeannoutot lost 2-1 to Vrana of Bishop Neumann

152: Brock Jeannoutot lost by pin to Wilkie of Malcom
138: Braeden Guenther lost by pin to Hochstein of Cedar Catholic

The 2023 Knights of Columbus Hoop Shoot was held in Crofton during the week of January 20-24 with the winners of the local contest heading to the District Contest at the end of the month.

The Crofton 6th Grade Boys competed in a Wausa Youth League on January 7th, 14th, and 21st, and a Wausa Youth Tournament on February 5th. The boys were undefeated in the Wausa Youth League.
