The following is a sample from the weekly Historical Niobrara column, compiled by the Niobrara Historical Society. In this week's column: Nov. 8, 1945: Halloween pranksters did considerable damage and the following day they were required to re-set up many buildings. The names of the Hallowe'eners included girls as well as boys and though some of the parents expressed the view that their minor pranks are "cute," parents should bear in mind that the pranksters are minors and the adult family members (parents) are responsible for their actions.
